Thomas Kaberle is way past his prime. Doesn't change the fact that he is one of my all time favorite players. I wish him the best of luck and I hope he gets an NHL contract somewhere. |

not worried, they will only make it if gelinas hasnt signed yet, and kaberle will be sent down, or if there is some trade in the works
with gomez i think it is more of a we wont say no since you want to continue your career but we wont offer you a spot on the nj devils, albany sure and with injuries call up
5% chance on them being on opening day roster |

0 risk... Why the (frank) not?
The bottom line is that NJ could sign these guys to $1M deals each (max) IF they're still good enough. If not, meh. |

Lol and wow. We just can't learn to step away from mediocrity, can we?
Gomez is the bigger laugh, but kaberle isn't far behind as a desperation move. Nobody's about to use NJ as a template for success anytime soon. When will we get on the ball and make a move a fan can be proud of? What a punch in the gut |

Kaberle for Clarkson? on the condition Kaberle makes the team of course...then again doesn't matter. Kaberle for Clarkson? |

What the (frank) are you talking about? It is a ZERO risk move, and creates a bit more competition. These types of moves are always smart... only good things can come from it. |

I dunno... Scott Gomez, while having that brainfart of a contract in NY, isn't a bad hockey player. He just wasn't worth the money, nor is he a legitimate top 6 guy (certainly not anymore, anyhow...if ever).
Kaberle had some phenomenal offensive instincts in his prime, though that was some time ago.
If they end up coming to camp in shape, motivated and put on a good show, why the hell not? Could do well on the 3rd/4th line and 3rd D-pairing, respectively. |

I don't think you understand - with the shallow depth and talent on this team, he could be a roster player here. 12 points last season...with Florida. Let that sink in. Is Scott Gomez and 12 points in 48 , what 20 points in 82, does that make you smile inside? We're going to call this a good thing? You can love it up bro, I'm calling a spade a spade. This is a struggle to make mediocrity, and we're on the losing end. |

gomez now def not a top 6 player, but you can argue he was with the devils, and 1st seasons with the rags (70pts) |

Dude whats your issue? Did Lou like piss in your apple juice when you were a kid or something because you seem to have some kind of grudge against everything he does |

Devils already have 9 mediocre forwards, and 6 decent d men -- 0 risk, but what's the point? |

Guys not a Devils fan. Just comes by to second guess anything Lou does. We could trade Steve Bernier tomorrow for Toews with Chicago retaining 95% of the salary and he would express his disgust with Lou somehow. |

This is funny coming from a guy who thinks penner could still be a first line talent. |

the sabres should be the template of success. They pretty much are guaranteed to "win" Mcdavid or Eichel. |
