Thomas Kaberle is way past his prime. Doesn't change the fact that he is one of my all time favorite players. I wish him the best of luck and I hope he gets an NHL contract somewhere.

What the (frank) are you talking about? It is a ZERO risk move, and creates a bit more competition. These types of moves are always smart... only good things can come from it.

I dunno... Scott Gomez, while having that brainfart of a contract in NY, isn't a bad hockey player. He just wasn't worth the money, nor is he a legitimate top 6 guy (certainly not anymore, anyhow...if ever).

Kaberle had some phenomenal offensive instincts in his prime, though that was some time ago.

If they end up coming to camp in shape, motivated and put on a good show, why the hell not? Could do well on the 3rd/4th line and 3rd D-pairing, respectively.

I don't think you understand - with the shallow depth and talent on this team, he could be a roster player here. 12 points last season...with Florida. Let that sink in. gomez now def not a top 6 player, but you can argue he was with the devils, and 1st seasons with the rags (70pts)

Guys not a Devils fan. Just comes by to second guess anything Lou does. We could trade Steve Bernier tomorrow for Toews with Chicago retaining 95% of the salary and he would express his disgust with Lou somehow.
